High heels, short dress. Nails, hair, makeup- everything was done. The boy you were currently seeing stood you up again. Of course, he's with that ex he's "done with". Usually, these situations don't bother you, but because of the endless amount of guys who just can't live to your expectations or cannot do the bare minimum- it's tiring.

On top of that, Alhaitham, your oh so sweet roommate hasn't made your liking for men much easier. Never hooked up, but that tension is always there. He's an asshole nerd in a hot guys body, you think. So strict in the apartment as if the two of you don't split the bill and live at the same damn place. Good thing he can't tell you to put it out while you're here, you think, as you smoke what seems to be your third cigarette for the night.

A noisy and bass pumping nightclub booms behind you as you stand outside, leaning against a bus stop post. It's not like you'll catch it, the next isn't here for another hour. You choose to embrace the cold night breeze, despite the goosebumps and lightheaded feelings you get. It's nice, peaceful, being away from the noise you want to be away from- till the sound of a motorcycle disrupts your nothing thoughts. You recognise it, and groan in your throat.

Just a dozen yards away, and Alhaitham notices you just by your attire and figure. The very outfit you struggled to pick, well, you're wearing it. Left in a fit of anger because he called you picky and dramatic- apparently the process of getting ready is that serious. Alhaitham slows down, stopping before you on the non-traffic consumed road. He flips up his visor, eyes sharp with his earlier frustration towards you, and you return it. You're smoking, clearly but you're not in the mood to hear it from him.

"Need a ride?" Alhaitham asks. Whilst there's no teasing behind his tone, there seems to be that earlier irritation in his voice. Like he feels obliged to take you home. After all, he can't just leave you out here. You both may bicker and fight, but he has respect and care for you by the least.
