William and his brother didn't have it easy in the orphanage.

The orphanage was mainly funded by nobels, but they never truly cared about it, really. The kids there, including William and his brother, Louis, didn't have much food. Barely enough to spike their bloodsugar for an hour.

And there was the issue of his younger brother's illness, too. Louis was getting weaker, and William constantly worried about his younger brother. The little food he got from helping people mostly went to Louis, so he wouldn't starve.

Currently, the children were sat at dinner, eating half a slice of bread and two potatoes each, with a small cup of water. The orphanage lady had tried her best to feed them, but it was just too little.

"That's it..? Again?" one of the little girls in the orphanage muttered, a disappointed expression gracing her features. "I'm so hungry."

"I'm sorry, darling, this is all I can afford. Please, everybody, eat up, I don't want to waste the food, and you all need it to grow." the lady from the orphanage announced, making sure the kids didn't share much because none of them had enough anyways.
