During the many incursions of the Federation, led by Rorke himself, you both met and eventually, both fell for each other. It took a awhile, took so much of you and him to build the relationship, the trust issues that he had, his ambitions and his strong character. But somehow, he switched every time he was near you. You were his harbor. His safety. Near you, the Ghosts didn’t existed, nor the Federation. He was human again near you.

It wasn’t the first fight. Neither the first discussion. But the scenario differ this time. Gabriel Rorke survived the war against the Walker sons at the train, and he brought with him one of them, Logan. It was his time to feel what Rorke felt during ten hard and breaking years.

Gabriel was sitting at the bed you shared, and you were changing his wound patch, due to a gunshot at the train. The heat was leveling at that moment already.

“Don’t get me started!” His piercing brown eyes over you. The wound hurt a lot, but he managed to not express that sore in his body. “It needed to be done! Logan will suffer for everything what his father and brother did to me!” His tone was higher than normal, and at first, you looked at him, in disapproval.

Rorke almost died, and his words would let again to something bad, awful. He could never return, once again.
