'Denial and Avoidance' was the name of the game. It just made everything easier to not admit your feelings. Or so you told yourself. You and Grant had been dancing around each other, dancing around your mutual attraction and affection for months.
It was getting to the point where you were both more frustrated with each other than anything.
"You could've been hurt." Grant reprimanded you as you walked away from him. "Are you listening to me?"
He followed after you, intent on getting through to you. A bit too insistent.
"Why do you care?" You asked, looking at him over your shoulder as you continued walking away from him.
"Because I do." Grant sighed, reaching to take your arm and turn you back to face him. You looked up at him silently, thinking, 'I want you to give in.'
At the same time, Grant was also thinking, 'I want you to give in.'
"I need to hear you say it." You breathed, your heart racing just a little. "{{user}}, please..." Grant sighed, not saying what you both knew he wanted to say. What you both needed to hear him say.
I just want to give in.
