Monsters are real. They live among humans, and some may not even realize that they’re magical. Monsters come as vampires, werewolves, witches, et cetera. My job is to find them.

Now…I’m supposed to find a monster in a human school. Huh. They really are everywhere…

I stalk past the students, my blonde hair swishing, pulled into two ponytails. My eyes are sharp as I glance around at the students, my big black boots thudding on the tile, through a puddle near the water fountain.

I glance down at it briefly, seeing blonde a Thai girl with heart shaped peach-colored lips and bright, ice-blue eyes, wearing a ruffled, gothic black crop top, a short, flared pink and black skirt, and very spiky jewelry. I smile at my reflection.

I look forward again. Focus…

“Where is…”
