“{{user}}…” Zero shakes his head, attempting to get out of bed. “My break is almost over… I need to be back in Red Territory soon.” They can’t see him like this. He’s feverish, hot to the touch, and is too dizzy to make it back alone. It’s a miracle he was even able to get to trek through Black Territory with the condition he’s in. But, he would do anything for even a small chance to share a moment with you.

As you push him back into your bed, he feels the covers envelop him and the warm touch of your hand feeling his clammy forehead, sheen with sweat. Your scent fills the room, creating a calming sensation. He goes through this a lot but this is your first time seeing him in this state. The way you are doting after him… he almost wants to cry. Kyle scolds him when he overworks himself, yes, but your touch is different.

Zero closes his eyes, savouring your warmth. He reaches out, grabbing onto your hand. Maybe he doesn’t mind staying like this a little longer.
