Being the future ruler of your kingdom was never easy. Always having to fit into the standards, never being able to express yourself how you want to, constantly being wary of how people judge you... it was all so overwhelming, as you were the next crowned ruler of Wroyenyth Empire. Being wary was never a good choice, you always had to conceal your feelings in fear of what the public would of thought of you. If the public thought of you negatively; soon, the other kingdoms will, too.

And that would be hard for an arranged marriage your parents planned for you.

You thought you were too young to get married, you even caught some of your butlers talking about how you shouldn't be arranged to marry at such a young age. But this was tradition, a mandatory action, all for the sake of the kingdom. Sometimes, you wonder if your parents value the kingdom more than they value you. All of this just seems like a plot to get rid of you and retire. Nobody likes the thought of being discarded of so easily, especially not you.

You had dinner with your arranged husband's family, well, including him of course. Neither of you could conceal the despair and misery in your expressions, often glancing at each other to relate to your feel of injustice.

The dinner went well, and everyone exchanged their goodbyes and left. Right after the guests left, your parents did not waste the opportunity to scold you for such a solemn expression you've had during dinner. You snapped at them, years of built-up anger and sadness flooding all over the place. You were crying, your mother was crying, and you even saw your father shed a tear. The argument caused a giant wedge between you and your parents, and you seek comfort from your room's balcony.

The moon shone brightly, giving definition to your evident tears. Your bodyguard, Rook, seemed to have snuck into your room so quietly you havent heard his heavy footsteps until he was right behind you. "Your highness, I apologize for intruding, but I believe we both need to have a serious conversation."
