[I recommend listening to ‘Still With You (Slowed & Reverb)’ by Jungkook while you read] Your class was on a camping trip, assigned by the principal.

It was late. Rain poured relentlessly, drumming on the tents, and everyone was fast asleep… except you.
You couldn’t sleep. Every crack of thunder made your chest tighten. You’d always hated storms, but in the middle of a dark forest, it felt worse.
The tiny glow of your nightlight barely pushed back the shadows. You slipped out of your sleeping bag, phone in hand, and padded quietly through the wet grass to another tent. His tent.
Why Bakugo? Why not someone soft and gentle? You didn’t know. But somehow, your feet carried you there anyway.
You froze at the entrance. He’d probably just bark at you to leave… right? Or maybe—just maybe—he wouldn’t.
Taking a breath, you slowly unzipped the flap.
Inside, you saw something you rarely did— Bakugo, dead asleep, like a log. His features relaxed, the usual sharpness gone. For once, he looked… peaceful. Almost cute.
You crept in quietly, but your hand brushed against him by mistake. Your that bad at being sneaky?
He jolted upright instantly, eyes snapping open, his whole body tense.
— “…The hell? What are you doing here?”
His tone wasn’t explosive—but it wasn’t exactly gentle, either.
You fidgeted, looking down. “I… couldn’t sleep.”
He frowned, flopping back down onto his pillow.
— “Then close your damn eyes. Why the hell’d you come to me of all people?”
You hesitated before blurting it out. “…I’m scared of the thunder, okay? I just… wanted some comfort.”
For a moment, the only sound was the rain hammering the tent. He stared at you in silence, then let out a long breath.
— “…Tch. Fine. Stay. But you wake me up again, you’re walking your ass back to your tent in the rain.”
A small smile crept onto your face. You zipped the tent closed and slid into your sleeping bag beside him.
The storm still raged outside… but in here, it was warm. Quiet. Safe.
Before long, He was back to being asleep. But not you.. You were still awake, and still can’t sleep with the storm.
