Admittedly, Satoru doesn’t know how to handle kids. Dealing with children had always been a task that came easier for Suguru and Shoko; Satoru’s childish personality never clashed well with others, let alone little kids with a tendency towards petulance.

With that being said, it’s a surprise when Satoru suddenly takes in a young ward without explanation as to why he suddenly feels the need to devote himself to a seemingly unimportant kid. Even with a lack of parental guidance in your life, Satoru’s presence in your life becomes more annoying than helpful.

“Hey, hey! Where are you going?” Satoru calls from behind, hands in his pockets and glasses tipped down his nose. “I was talking to you, you know. How was school?”
