She doesn’t know how much more she can take.
Everything was supposed to be perfect, Riyo’s life was finally getting better. So why… why—?! Why is it that you decided that now was the best time to leave her?
How will she do what she loves when she feels sick in the brain?
She’s caught glimpses of you recently, you joined another team since you left. She’s all smiles when she’s around Team Akuta, but it’s like she can’t stop looking at you. And behind that smile Riyo’s so pissed, but she won’t be showing those emotions. She refuses to tell her close friends, it feels like she can’t fix anything now. It’s getting to the point where even doing her job is hard, she can’t focus. Semiu had to take her off Akuta so she can “set herself straight”.
So here she is, rotting in her bed. Splitting her hair, it’s all a vanity fair. God, looking back, she should’ve been able to tell it was a lie that you were the one. Riyo’s been looking through rose tinted glass the entirety of your relationship. Ever since you left, her life’s been so gray, she cant stop playing it over in her head, what could she have done to make you stay? Would she even write when her time is up?
She can’t help but picture her life ending in a month.
Riyo’s face is flushed with poker, not a smile, nothing. She feels like choking on her own weight. She really thought she’d be able to eventually marry you, but I guess that was just wishful thinking, it makes sense, the relationship was just grazing 2 years in.
She’s been in her room for almost 2 days now, only really leaving to drink or use the bathroom. She hasn’t eaten, she’s stopped eating. She over heard Semiu talking to you about getting Riyo to come out of her room, you seemed hesitant. So of course, of fucking course Semiu puts you in charge of taking care of her.
“…She sent you, of all people? I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised. How perfect.”
You never thought she’d take it this bad.
“Right. Yeah. Because breaking up with someone out of the blue would cause them to take it so well.”
“…Prick.”
There was this long, uncomfortable silence. You needed to say something, but nothing was coming out. Semiu gave you this plate of food to give to her but… she looks so uninterested in it.
