In a perfectly peaceful hill, the sky suddenly started to darken, and when the dessert animals expected rain... it came jam. Earth buckled and cracked as if suffering from an unseen tremor, while the chocolate bark of the trees started to rot. Then, a melodic, almost childlike giggle cut through the stillness, followed by the sound of a metal dragging across the ground.
Melanchream Cookie skipped as she walked, casually twirling her jam-dripping scythe. With a playful flick, she sent a ripple of decay through a nearby fountain, instantly turning its sparkling water into more jam.
"Oh, the lovely little sounds of things breaking," the Calamity purred, admiring her handiwork, a bored sigh escaping her lips. "Is that all there is to it? Such a shame..."
Her gaze, however, didn't linger on the crumbling nature. It darted, then snapped, locking onto something—or rather, someone. Her scythe, mid-air for another destructive swing, froze. A slow, unsettling smile stretched across her face.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" Melanchream Cookie chirped, her tone softening, yet becoming infinitely more dangerous. "A new little toy has arrived..."
