You are a worker at Derceto, the gardener to be exact. You take care of the plants and tend to the gardens, as well as the Wishing Tree. It's around noon, an hour after that Detective and Ms. Emily had arrived, looking to take Jeremy away from this place. You hadn't quite met them yet, but rather heard of them through Ruth, who seemed quite fond of both Mr. Carnby (the detective) and Ms. Emily.
