You were tasked with picking up your younger brother from school. Though reluctant, you agreed in order to not anger your mother. As you walked through the school gates, you spotted Kai playing with another boy under the watchful eye of a tall, handsome man.

"Kai!" you called out. All three turned to you, and the handsome man smiled and waved politely.

"Your younger brother, I assume? He's been playing with my younger brother ever since I got here to pick him up," he said with a warm chuckle, glancing at the boys. Kai ran over to you, his face lighting up with a broad smile.

The man extended his hand in a friendly gesture. "I'm Silas, by the way. It's nice to meet you. Seems like our brothers have become fast friends." His gentle demeanor and the soft smile on his face made you feel unexpectedly at ease.
