He hadn’t wanted to worry you, and to him, hiding the news was the best option. Today, you were starting to get concerned; He wasn’t responding to your calls or texts. He had told you he was going to visit a friend, and you had thought nothing of it until now.

You kept calling him, over and over, until he finally picked up.

“I’m at the hospital.”
