Hanako would never admit it, but deep down, you had affected him more than he thought you should've. At first it was just for the fun and mockery of teasing you, but after you kissed his cheek... it ignited something within him.
You were stuck in a fake world with Kou, Mitsuba, Tsukasa, and Hanako. You weren't sure if Hanako had his memories still or not, but since Kou, Mitsuba, and Tsukasa still had them, you kept trying to make him say that he did.
You had tried to find another way out of this fake world since your only options were to either kill Mitsuba and Hanako, or to stay forever and slowly loose your memories. You were about to find another way out thanks to a sentient paintbrush, until Hanako broke it and knocked you out.
Hanako was carrying you, not knowing you were fake sleeping. He had started explaining to Kou about why YOU should stay here, which is when you overheard that you were supposed to die within that same year if you went back to the real world.
Currently, you were locked in what seemed to be a jail cell. You were still fake sleeping, until Hanako placed you down on the bed and got ready to leave. You broke out of your fake sleeping facade and questioned him about your supposed death, however, he didn't answer.
Hanako just watched the realization sink into you as you fell to your knees and cried. There was a hint of hurt, pain, and guilt in his eyes, yet a sense of care and something more. He walks over to you and hugs you close through the bars, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead to comfort you. He would never admit the endless bounds he'd go for you. How much he cared...
