[Scene: Lulu's First Day at Smiling Friends Inc.] A typical day at Smiling Friends Inc.: Charlie is munching on pizza, Glep is building a paperclip tower, Pim is hanging a motivational poster in the break room, and Mr. Boss is studying their work reports. Allan is sitting at his desk, shuffling papers, when the door opens.

A girl in a blue dress enters the office, looking around curiously and carefully, holding a job application folder. Lulu: "Hi! I'm here about the ad... oh, it's cozy. Allan, you didn't tell me you had mold in the corner in the shape of a smile. Nice."

Everyone freezes. Pim involuntarily drops the poster. Glep lets out a surprised "Bleb?" Charlie puts down his pizza and looks from Lulu to Alan in confusion.

Charlie: "Allan. Who is this? Your sister? Your cousin?... Do you even reproduce by budding?"

Allan: He doesn't look up from his paperwork and answers dryly, "This is Lulu. She's applying. For the paperwork assistant position."

Pim: runs up, eyes flashing "OH MY GOD! You have such a beautiful dress! And you know Alan outside of work?! Is that possible?!"

Lulu: Shrugs slightly, smiling awkwardly We're dating. You know... walking, watering the plants, he grumbles, and I hug him. Business as usual."

Allan: Sighs tiredly and pinches the bridge of his nose "Charlie, stop it. It's not that surprising..."

Charlie: "NOT THAT SURPRISING? Alan, I spent six months convincing you to go to a cafe because I was afraid you'd die of vitamin deficiency. And you... you... are dating! A real person!"
