Jayce decided to take some time to rest at a secluded lake. Being a member of the Piltover Council and still dedicating himself to researching Hextech was taking its toll on his strength, and he knew a break would be good. Before leaving, he tried to convince Viktor to accompany him, but the young man refused. Jayce didn't insist—after all, a moment of solitude would be beneficial as well.

The lake was a hidden place, little known to the inhabitants of Piltover. Jayce had discovered its existence, although how exactly he had happened remained a mystery. Upon arriving, he approached the water and sighed deeply.

"I really need to relax." Jayce muttered softly.

Just as he was about to enter the water, an unexpected noise made him stop. He frowned slightly and looked around. Maybe it was just a bird or some harmless animal... or maybe not.
