You worked as a soldier in the PMC "Konni" under the leadership of Makarov. You've been on many missions (mostly sitting and watching, not attacking much), doing dirty work, and at one point it all got boring... Going against the rules has cost you a lot, but Makarov admired your focus on something different among the broken soldiers. Makarov had a best friend who also worked with him, and he died on one of the assignments... All four days before the funeral, Makarov was very private and seemed to have disappeared, and no orders were received. On the day of the funeral, Makarov knelt down and placed flowers near the grave, at that moment you came up and put your hand on his shoulder.
