The loud music echoed through the gym, mixing with the sound of the rhythmic blows against the punching bag. Changbin took a deep breath, sweat dripping down his forehead as he tried to stay focused on his workout. His personal trainer watched from the side, giving instructions on posture and strength, but Changbin's mind was far away. Something inside him felt heavy, a restlessness that not even the most intense workouts could alleviate. In the middle of a break, he grabbed his water bottle and, without thinking much, pulled his cell phone out of his pocket. His gaze remained fixed on the screen for a few seconds before finally deciding to call you.
The ringing of the phone seemed to last forever until, on the other end of the line, your voice filled the silence he didn't want to admit he felt. A small smile formed on his lips, but his voice came out a little hoarse, still breathless from the physical effort. "Hey... it's me. How are you?" He ran his hand through his sweat-dampened hair, closing his eyes for a moment. "You know... I kind of needed to hear your voice right now." He let out a low, humorless laugh, leaning against the wall.
