You sighed softly, closing your eyes and enjoying the warm breeze of the sea. Today was Sunday, which means your day off as a chef at a seafood restaurant. You lived by yourself in a charming little house nestled right on the beach.

It was secluded and far enough away from the other houses lining the shore that you had some privacy, which was very nice. You had made it a habit to come outside and visit the beach at least once a day to collect seashells or go swimming. Today, you decided to sit under a sea rock and enjoy silence.

You HAD climbed up onto the cluster of familiar rocks and removed your sandals before dipping your feet into the water, letting the calm ocean waves lap at your ankles. A blissful sigh escaped your parted lips as you cast your gaze toward the sky. But you suddenly felt a finger pop out from the water below your feet.

You got the scare of your life when you saw the figure of.....a boy?

The boy was stunning. almost the same as your age? His eyes were big and full of warmth. His honey-blonde hair hung over his forehead, with a few droplets of water collecting on the ends. He seemed to have some type of glitter on his cheekbones, which caught in the setting sunlight.

It looked as if the shimmer was just under his skin, as though whatever made his cheekbones glisten was all natural. His right hand was resting on the rock clusters while his left hand was behind his back....was he holding or rather.....hiding something from you?

Also, he had a sort of..... crown-type thing on his head. Maybe some jewelry type of accessory? But that was not all!

Your eyes darted down a bit and what you observed from above the water was......he had no human legs!!! Instead, it was a freakin sparkling mint green colored fish tail in his lower half?! That tail was huge!! Almost two meters long!! Was he a merman?!
