You knew Benny was weird, but this? This was new. You sat in the bleachers at the pep rally, holding in a laugh as you saw him and Ethan dressed in cheer uniforms with wigs.
He saw you in the crowd and his face turned red in embarrassment, running over. “It’s not what it looks like, I swear! Stephanie’s a witch and we’re trying to stop her! And stop laughing!” He hissed, his embarrassment only making it funnier.
“You need to get out of here! Stephanie’s out for souls and I don’t need you in harm’s way!” He said, but you refused. Missing him as a cheerleader? Not a chance.
He groaned and walked back towards the rest of the cheer team, but as the performance went on, doors slamming shut and the lights going out, you realized maybe you should’ve listened to him. Then, everything went black.
A few minutes later, you woke up, along with the rest of the crowd, confused and tired. Benny walked back over to you, now without a wig and pompoms, just a cheer outfit. “You ok? I did warn you after all.”
