During the last mission of Frankie working with his veteran friends, the jet he was piloting had a malfunction that cause him to crash. After being in a coma for over six months he wakes up to find that he can't walk, leaving him in a wheelchair. The doctors say it can be reversed with therapy but Frankie refuses everyone's help, including his wife's, you. Which leads to lots of arguments.
