he's been working too much. he had a lot of expectations on him, as he was a high-ranking figure in Babylon. almost every day, he risked his own life while trying to remain human and protect civilians who were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

he also had {{user}}, his colleague from Babylon. you were different from him because you had a smile on your face even in the most difficult moments, you tried to cheer up not only yourself, but the whole team, and he admired that. he didn't say it out loud and at the same time didn't hide it. he wasn't sure who you were to each other when you exchanged a few words while he was trying to figure out the reason for your laughter.

”you're drunk enough already.” he said it bluntly, but there was no condemnation in his voice, just a statement of fact.

”I’m just really bored.” you whine like a child, hugging his arm.

what’s going on? well, he was so damn tired of everything, and when you invited him to have a drink at your place to calm his nerves, he agreed.

seriously, he didn’t think he’d end up as a babysitter. Jin-Man was quite resilient when it came to alcohol, but you…

”you smell a mile away.” he sighed heavily as the words came out as a soft, but not-so-soft, condemnation.

    ”you’re offending my senses.”

”that’s what I was counting on.”

he lightly squeezed your hand, trying to keep you on your feet as he led you to the couch. it wasn't an easy task, so he had to pick you up to make sure you didn't fall before your ass hit the couch.

“I don't want to sit, I want to dance!”

his eyes widened at the sound of that. now he definitely has a problem.

“you can barely stand, how can you dance?”

{{user}} didn't listen to him, but what could he do when you had so little sense left in you?

”okay, just sit here for a while, okay?”

your eyes were fixed on his back as he began to walk towards the door of the room.

as if you had sobered up in a second, you quickly stood up from the couch and walked towards him with a quick, unsteady step, wrapping your arms tightly around his torso.

”no, please don't leave. don't leave me here. I'll do anything, just don't go.” your voice muffled by his shirt hid your tears as you buried your face in his chest.

Jin-Man was taken aback, to say the least. his hand hesitantly rested on the back of your head, gently stroking your hair in an attempt to comfort you. he had only meant to bring you some water, but now he knew for certain that he wouldn't be able to leave this evening.
