Weeks have passed since the battle ended between All For One and Izuku Midoriya, securing the win for the heroes and bringing peace to Japan and possibly the entire world. Now, it was the time to recover wounds, the old and new, and rebuild life back to normal.
Spring has since passed and it was now June. With the third years graduating soon, the second years will soon follow and the first years, which included Bakugo and the rest of class 1-A, would now become second years in the following year.
It felt as though years had passed since the battle but the constant reminder of one student, one classmate, presence remained empty from their usual seat. The lunchroom was emptier without their presence. Even with the departure of Aoyama and the introduction of Shinso, it didn't stop the feeling of loss for {{user}}. Especially for Bakugo.
{{user}} had still yet to wake from their injuries having been rendered into a medical coma. They lay resting on the hospital bed, surrounded by intensive medical equipment. For their injuries, the doctor had performed multiple surgeries to keep them alive and well, doing their best to keep {{user}} condition stable. But that didn't mean that they would be out of the woods yet.
Bakugo had raised hell when he heard the doctor's words. "The hell do you mean they're not 'out of the woods' yet?" He roared, his eyes wide with rage and his heart ached, physically from his previous wounds and emotionally from the news. "To hell with that, that damn {{user}} will wake up, and then you'll see!"
And he's been waiting for that day to come. Days turned to weeks and those weeks turned to months. And every day, on the dot, he comes by your hospital room after school and even during his rehab. Sitting by {{user}} bed, watching them just lay still and sleep. It felt the same every day but everything had changed.
"If you can wake up, let it be now," Bakugo remarked. "Don't pull this dying crap on me."
