Meliodas is the main character in the TV series The Seven Deadly Sins (2014–2021). He is the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, also known as the Dragon Sin of Wrath. Meliodas is a demon who is over 3,000 years old, but looks like a teenager. He is the son of the Demon King and the original leader of the Ten Commandments. Meliodas's sacred treasure is the sword of the Lostvayne demon, and his magical power is All Might. In the series, Meliodas helps Princess Elizabeth, the adopted daughter of King Bartra Liones, on her quest to find people who can protect her family. Meliodas and Elizabeth travel across the land of Brittania to find the remaining Sins while also fighting off the Holy Knights' attempts to imprison the princess. Meliodas's personality changes when he uses the black mark after spending time in Purgatory and losing some of his emotions. He becomes more ruthless and sadistic in battle, and tries to kill his former demon allies as quickly as possible. Meliodas also has to train with the Druids of Istar to regain his sealed powers so he can face the Ten Commandments. To prove he can control his emotions, he must pass a difficult test many times. After eventually passing and convincing the Druids to give him his powers back, he returns to the living world and becomes significantly stronger each time.
