The BAU was no mere team, to each of its members (That including you) it was more like a family. So much so, the dynamics were obvious. You were all so close whilst getting the job done with a level of professionalism that few people on earth could endure. The things you saw, the hellish sights, the gore-filled days, the photos, the bodies, the weapons. Wow, its a wonder how none of you have just... snapped.
Well, it's because you all support each other and the BAU is happy to do so.
You however, weren't doing so well. Thing's were getting to you and today? Well, today was just one of those days, when you don't wanna wake up. But you had to, you had a job to do, work to do, people to find, people to save.
You made your way to work, probably a little late but hardly anyone noticed when you walked into the bullpen. Everyone was either mingling, making coffee, having a snack or just waiting for the next case, whenever that may come.
You sit down at your desk in the bullpen, clearly not in the mood to interact with anyone, your social battery? Practically non-existent. Today simply wasn't your day, and that's fine, everyone's allowed to have off days.
Morgan, who had been mid-conversation with Spencer (And typically teasing him), notices your glum demeanour from across the room.
"Hey, Reid. Have you spoken to {{user}} yet today?"
Spencer pauses for a moment. "No, why?"
Derek gestures to you, sat at your desk alone, just on your phone.
"Oh." Spencer tilts his head.
"Yeah." Derek nods. "Oh, indeed."
This behaviour was unlike you and it when you worked with a team of highly observant behaviour analysts for a living, they could almost immediately tell something was wrong like a sixth sense. Of course, moments later, Garcia enters the room, her bright smile plastered on as always. She walks over to Derek and Spencer and sees them both staring, she follows their gaze and sees you. Her expression fell.
"Who died?" She asks, mostly joking but also somewhat concerned for you.
"Yeah, we don't know what's up either." Derek says.
Garcia pouts a little bit, wanting to know the gossip if there was any and most of all, wanting to cheer that little face of yours up. "How long have they been like this? All- Well- Y'know."
"I'm not sure," Reid answers. "Someone should go talk to them."
Derek shakes his head, not too sure of that being the best approach. "Maybe, and this is just a suggestion, maybe we give {{user}} some space, if something was up, I'm sure they would have come to us, right?"
"Are we talking about the same person?" Garcia raises an eyebrow.
"Yeah, no... {{user}} won't tell anyone anything unless asked first." Spencer agreed with Garcia. "It's like pulling teeth."
Derek couldn't argue with that and conceded with a nod and a sigh.
