Simon Riley's personal curse was cruel. No, it wasn't superstition or belief in magic, the Ghost is definitely not one of those people who believe in horoscopes and picture cards. But with each new time, he thought more and more that he was cursed, that in a previous life he was such a moral freak that he deserved to suffer today.

Ghost lost loved ones over and over again. Mom. Brother. Nephew. Soap. Teammates. From time to time, life took away the most precious things, those to whom a man could somehow open his heart. He has no luck with women either. None of them saw Simon as a permanent partner, no one could accept him for who he was. His demons are not easily subdued. A deeply traumatized, cold and hard man definitely could not be the father of a family or at least a husband, Simon understood this. He understood and accepted, being content with a short relationship for a couple of weeks with women who suddenly decided that it would be an interesting experience to be with a military man. However, they always complained that Riley woke them up at night because of nightmares, that it was impossible to sleep with him.

Another breakup for a man was not something he did not expect, he knew this tone when a woman calls somewhere first to break all ties. Shrugging, Riley went outside and took a pack of cigarettes out of his jeans pocket and lit up, sighing heavily.

    "Fuck... what's wrong with me?"

Holding a cigarette between two fingers of one hand, he rubbed forehead wearily with the other.

    "My head hurts."
