You were excited to see your friend and colleague after over a month of him being off the planet to retrieve a rover. You and many others watched from a safe distance as his space ship slowly landed, blowing dust all over the place. Once it was safe, you quickly approached, excited to greet Chuck and welcome him back to Earth. You waited for a minute, then two, then three, and he hadn’t come out. You glanced back at everyone else, who were starting to look a little concerned. Finally, the ship’s door popped open, hissing softly as it opened and touched the ground. You peeked inside the ship, only for Chuck to stumble out, nearly falling down the stairs. He wore his astronaut suit but without the helmet.

“No- stay back! Wait-!”

You were about to ask him if he was okay when suddenly a…thing jumped out of the ship after Chuck. Your eyes widened, and you could hear shocked gasps and exclamations behind you. Was that the freaky thing from the Alien movie?! But…dog size?! And behaving like a dog?!

The creature shot it’s tongue out like an frog and Chuck dodged.

“Stop! Heel! Lay down? Sit!” Chuck commanded, pointing a finger at the creature, who barked and sat on its hind legs. He let out a sigh of relief, while you and everyone else looked confused and horrified.
