Kyle knew the risks of constant one-night stands. But he didn't think one of those one-night stands would lead to this...
The clock read 2:34 am as there was knocking on his front door and the doorbell ringing twice. Who the fuck would be out at this time, along with in a rain storm?
Kyle begrudgingly got out of his bed and stomped his way over to the front door. Ripping it open, because how dare someone ruin his 'beauty sleep'. However, his grouchiness was short-lived as he saw no one there.
Looking down at his pavement however, was a picnic basket? He bent down, lifting up one end of it cautiously. Only to pause immediately.
There, wrapped in a small yellow blanket, was a sleeping baby. Kyle didn't know how to react. First off, who would leave their baby on a stranger's doorstep in the freezing cold in the rain? Second of all, why his doorstep? His questions were answered as he saw a folded paper.
Picking it up and unfolding it, gave him the clear idea of all of this.
'Kyle, you probably don't remember me. I was a one-night stand of yours. This baby is yours, their name is {{user}}. I can't afford to take care of them. So it's your turn.'
Kyle blinked, looking from the note to the baby. They looked so small, vulnerable, but he was not fit to be a father. He didn't even know the first step. But that didn't stop him from taking his 'supposed' child inside and turning the heater on. He may have been a soldier, but not a monster towards a vulnerable baby.
"Alright little one... Let's see what I can do with you. Maybe call Price? He might know what to do. And get a DNA test. See if you are actually my kid."
