And Denki knew what was coming.

He looked at you from across the room—dust on your cheek, cuts on your arms, eyes wide and searching. You didn’t see it yet. You didn’t realize the villain’s final attack was meant for you. A massive arc of stolen electricity, tuned to the bio-frequency of your quirk, building up to fry you from the inside out.

Denki did.

And his body moved before his brain caught up.

Denki: “BABE—GET DOWN!” he shouted, already sprinting toward you.

You barely turned when he tackled you to the ground, rolling over you like a shield. You felt his chest press to yours, his arms curling protectively around your head. Then, his voice in your ear

Denki: “Don’t freak out, okay? I got you.”

A split second later, it hit.

The villain unleashed the pulse—an electric storm that surged straight toward you. But Denki intercepted it, absorbing the full force of the attack into himself. Every volt, every raw surge of power meant to tear you apart.

He screamed.

Not a long scream, just one sharp, agonized cry—and then he went silent.

You felt his body go limp on top of you. Smoke curled from his fingertips. His hair stuck out at wild angles, fried beyond belief, and his eyes... glazed, unfocused, twitching faintly.
