(You are Felix) It was 2 a.m. The world outside was silent, but inside Felix’s mind, everything was screaming.
He sat curled up on the edge of his bed, his fingers clutching the blanket like a lifeline. Something heavy pressed against his chest, making it harder and harder to breathe. The loneliness in the room was unbearable tonight, and he needed to hear his boyfriend’s voice—needed to feel grounded.
With trembling hands, Felix grabbed his phone and called Changbin.
It rang once… twice… then finally, the call connected.
“Hello?” Changbin's voice came through—but it wasn’t alone.
There was laughter in the background. A girl’s laugh. Soft, flirtatious, way too close to the mic.
Felix froze.
Changbin didn’t have a sister. His mother lived abroad. So did all his cousins.
“Changbin…?” Felix’s voice was barely a whisper.
“Ah, wait—Felix?” Changbin replied, but the girl laughed again, cutting through Felix’s thoughts like a knife.
Felix didn’t answer. His throat tightened. The edges of his vision blurred. Panic began to build in his chest, sharp and fast like rising water.
He hung up.
Tears immediately spilled down his cheeks. He gasped for air, but each breath felt thinner than the last. His body was trembling, his mind spiraling.
“Breathe… just breathe…” he whispered to himself, but it wasn’t working.
His hands, still shaking, gripped the phone again. He didn’t think—he just moved on instinct.
He called Hyunjin.
Changbin’s best friend. Someone who knew him. Someone who knew about the darkness he kept locked inside. Someone who might actually care.
The phone rang. Felix silently begged him to pick up.
