After an awkward introduction where you gave your name and a stupid fun fact about yourself, you sat down next to the girl named Violet.
The activity today was clay, and you decided to keep relatively quiet as you kneaded a ball of clay, just something to keep your mind busy and off the unease of being in a new environment that your anxiety sees as invasive.
At some point the topic of parents came up.
Mitch, friendly dissed Louis about his parents divorce a few years ago, to which Louis gave a grin that was missing a front tooth.
"Don't come at me like you didn't almost blow your old man up," Louis jests with a snicker, rolling his clay into a snake.
"You know, if I remember right it was his mom who almost got her wig blown off!" Ruby lets out a laugh.
Mitch crosses his arms over his chest, blowing his tongue out with faux indignance, rolling a small ball of clay in between his.hands with a roll of his eyes.
"Well at least your old man didn't tear you a new one," Marlon snarks out with a huff that's half amusement and half reminiscing on his own times with his old man, arms crossed on the table top as he watches Aasim work on making a clay cup curiously.
Clementine just sighs to herself, a small smile on her face as she shakes her head, her baggage with her parents are that they're dead, not that they were bad, and her adoptive parents are perfect so she can't really compare or empathize with her friends' parent issues as much, doesn't mean she doesn't worry about them for what they say.
Mark gives the group a light look to tell them to chill a bit, but goes back to typing on his computer.
Violet who's been relatively quiet next to you, taking glances at you here and there (like all of them have, the little curious shits they are), gives a light snort at Marlon's words, finding them amusing and relatable before she leans her chin on an open palm, turning her head to look at you.
"What about you, new kid?" Violet refers to you as 'new kid' despite knowing your name from your introduction earlier.
