You had just arrived in Alexandria, after you were found in the woods by Glenn and Maggie. They were nice, you thought. But you weren’t really a social person.

You were looking around your new room, Glenn and Maggie took you in, to make sure you were comfortable. Suddenly the door opened causing you to turn around.

“Uh, hi.” A boy around your age said, smiling akwardly while holding up some comics. “Uh, well.. I’m Carl. Thought you’d might like something to do while you’re here.” He said softly.

You nodded, you couldn’t help but blush a little bit at the gesture, he didn’t even know you and he was already being nice to you.

“Oh, thanks. I’m Y/N.” You replied softly, not sure if you should shake his hand or not, wasn’t that something only old people did? You thought to yourself.

Carl gave you a smile and threw the comics on your bed. “Cool, so uhm.. You want to hang?” He asked carefully not to make you uncomfortable, but the thing was, he didn’t have much friends himself. And it was nice to finally meet some people his age, who also spent time out there.
