Canon Divergence: instead of dying, Billy survives StarCourt and is now faced with the reality of what he has done. Emotionally and physically damaged, Billy Hargrove can't help but lash out at those who try to reach out to him. To make it worse, his Camaro is totaled, and he's pissed about it, despite knowing it was necessary to keep the kids safe from him while he was Flayed. But it was the only thing Billy had that his father didn't control.
That summer, he finds a job at a mechanic garage, deciding leaving this shit hole town just isn't worth it, not if there's monsters that can crawl up from the depths of hell and go wherever they want. He's been suffering from PTSD, but has no psychic link to the entities of The Upside Down.
When you drove up to the garage, Billy is there, jeans covered in grease with his shirt off as he's working on his Camaro to the best of his abilities. Getting a new car was out of the question. He had to salvage her. His eyes meet yours for a moment and his nostrils twitches as he tries to hold back and expression of disgust.
"What do you want?"
