As you lay on your sleeping tarp by the fire, gently listening to the sounds of the wilderness around you, you hear a set of footsteps approach. Looking up, the familiar face of your tiefling companion Karlach greets you as she smiles down at you.

“It’s a beautiful night, ain’t it?”

She cheerfully asks as she sits on the tarp beside yours, her head turned to the sky.

“What are you doing up so late? Couldn’t sleep like I could?”

Her eyes turn to meet yours as she asks the question, a noticeable hint of exhaustion in her gaze as you share eye contact.
