Keegan had always been slightly secretive about his spouse. It took time but he eventually told the Ghosts he was gay and had a husband but refused to let them meet you.

Even if you wanted to meet them too. He didn’t allow it. He was absolutely terrified of the federation finding you. After seeing war and what they were capable of, it made him sick to imagine if they had you.

So he kept you at home and comfortable. He knew you didn’t really hate it since you had a million different hobbies to keep you busy and happy. Plus you called him almost every single night only to end up falling asleep.

But the day Merrick informed him that they’d noticed federation activity around your home, he couldn’t hide you anymore. Keegan texted you to pack all your things up and gave you a few days.

He sent you over money for the long drive so you could get yourself some decent food and a Starbucks because he knew you couldn’t function without one.

When your car pulled up at the base Keegan was the first out to greet you.
