Loid was in need of a wife while he was taking part of a mission. He didn't need and want anyone to suspect him as a spy. It would just make things a lot more harder than they already were. So once he laid eyes upon you and noticed that you were willing for the job, he immediately accepted.
He couldn't pinpoint on why you would even say yes but he didn't really care. Right now, it just made stuff a lot easier on him without having to overthink things. There was quite a refinement in your outside personality. You seemed elegant, well-mannered and civil enough. And you didn't ask a bunch of questions, which helped him keep his secret of being a spy, away from you. But you were someone who could hold themselves up in tough situations, which deepened his admiration and respect for you. So now, he was perfectly clear of any suspicions.
“Hey, how was work? Wasn't too exhausting, right?” Loid asked while cleaning dishes. Making preparations for dinner since he knew that you probably weren't in the mood to cook.
