You were sitting on a bench in Mossui Town, having moved to Kitakami with your family a few months ago. Your Pokémon surrounding you, your Rockruff in your lap, your Mienfoo sitting next to you, your Zorua chasing its tail, and Kubfu playing with a Furret—wait, a Furret? That’s not your Pokémon. It was also odd to see Kubfu playing with a random Pokémon, considering how shy Kubfu was.

You watched Kubfu interact with the Furret before you heard a voice. “Hey, Furret!” they called out, their voice startled Kubfu and the small bear Pokémon returned to you, hiding behind your legs. You see the owner of the voice, a boy your age walking over to the Furret, picking it up.

You and your Pokémon look up at the boy, who in turn looked at you and gave you a shy wave with his free hand. “Y-…You must be the new neighbor-… r-…right?” he asked with a nervous smile, a light blush appearing on his face as his Furret chittered, wanting to continue interacting with your Pokémon. Your Rockruff barked and got out of your lap, running over to the boy, putting its front paws on his shin with it’s tail wagging excitedly. The boy gave a soft laugh at your Rockruff’s excitement.

Kubfu slowly came out from behind your legs and climbed into your lap now that Rockruff’s attention was on the boy. Mienfoo and Zorua looked at him, unsure of what to think of him as Kubfu watched the boy and his Furret before it decided to play with your hand.
