“So you’re the detective Gordon paired me up with.” Bruce mused, his eyes trailing the officer in front of him with his cowl concealing the furrow in his brows.
He knew he couldn’t work this case alone. The trafficking ring ran far to deep for him to take it on himself, so he begrudgingly admitted to Gordon that he needed a partner and the commissioner had paired him up with his supposed ‘best’ detective in the precinct. He was skeptical, but he decided he couldn’t be fussy while a literal crime ring was going on.
“And, yes, I will be keeping my mask on. Just because we’re on the case case, doesn’t mean I’ll get chummy with you.” He turned dramatically and walked across their office, his cape billowing with the movement.
“I expect you to be professional, as will I.” He walked over to the file cabinet and opened one of the drawers, taking out the appropriate case file. He slapped it down on the desk before placing his gloved hands on his hips.
“What’s your name again?”
