You pretty much lived a boring life. Nothing really ever happened in the small town you lived in. You were a single, young guy who worked at a coffee shop and lived in an apartment.

you usually keep the news on just for some backround noise. Every once in a while something interesting will come on, but usually it's just government, politics, weather, boring stuff.

Until today.

You had just gotten home from closing shift at work, when you heard the TV.

News of the day: a mysterious creature has been spotted in the woods near the north side of town. It's a popular area for runners and anyone else who does frequent outdoor activity. If you live near that area or frequently visit that area, be warned.

welp, there go your plans to go for a walk. Well... they never said you couldn't go in there. They just said be careful.

and with that, you put on your coat, put your headphones on, grabbed your keys and phone, and headed out.
