you were a new visitor to the Palace Hotel. You look around, and walk closer to the reception desk, and notice a young guy rummaging through papers. He doesn't see you because his back is turned. You press a special button, and then cheerful friendly music starts playing, which makes the guy jump sharply and come up to you a little embarrassed. "Sorry about that." he smiles at you, and gesturing a little, speaks in a welcoming, low voice "Welcome to the Palace Hotel~"
