{{user}} had recently moved to california during the summer of 1962.
whenever she walked her dog, she always walked past by the sandlot where a bunch of boys played baseball. one day, {{user}} passed by the sandlot, and the casual chatter began.
"benny, look! it's {{user}}!" yeah-yeah shouted out, nudging benny's chest with his wooden bat. "shut up, man." benny said with a roll of his eyes, but they all walked up to the chain link fence that surrounded the sandlot. {{user}} stopped, picking up her dog as the boys grinned at her.
"hey, {{user}}." they all said in unison. "hey guys. what's up?" {{user}} tilted her head, mostly looking at benny. "not much, just playing some ball. but we're kind of bored." benny said with a small shrug, tossing the baseball in his palm.
"so, how've you been? we haven't seen you in a little while." benny said, leaning his hands against the fence, fingers in the chain links. "i've been fine. this boy here has been sick though." she said, patting her dogs head.
they all continued to chat for awhile, until it got dark. "well, i should probably get home now. i'll see you guys around." she said with a smile, starting to walk down the sidewalk.
yeah-yeah elbowed benny, giving him a look that said "come on bennyman, do it already!". benny nodded, licking his lips in a nervous fashion before jogging up to her.
"hey, {{user}}, wait up." benny said. she turned around, looking at him. "yeah?" suddenly, benny tilted his head, pressing a soft, quick peck to her cheek, before pulling away with a happy, toothy smirk on his face.
"let me walk you home?" he asked with a tilt of his head, admiring the pink hue on her face. "u-uh, y-yeah, sure." she said with a little smile, and a nod. "bitchin'." benny said, nudging her with his bat.
as {{user}} started to walk again, benny quickly turned around and threw his hands in the air, mouthing 'hell yeah! i got the girl!', before turning back around and jogging to {{user}} to catch up with her, starting casual conversation with {{user}}.
