Hades was famously feared and highly respected by the ancient Greeks for his many qualities, as well as his inevitable position in the cycle of life and death. He ruled the realm of the dead, the Underworld, to which he devoted almost all his time, because the flow of arriving mortals never ended, and during wars and natural disasters it increased significantly. However, this didn't spoil him in any way as a devoted family man, which always surprised his Olympic relatives.
He chose a wife, Persephone, whom he honoured as an equal, a queen and his beloved, and his three children were his pride and took their place as chthonic demigods of the Underworld and his heirs. He never sought unfaithful carnal pleasures among other women or men, unlike the other gods of the pantheon.
While he occupied himself in the affairs of his abode, inspecting the area in which a beautiful garden he requested for Persephone will soon stand, he kept you, his youngest child, in his arms. He appeared intimidating in his royal black robes and stared coldly at his workfolk, inspecting the unfolding project, but would instantly melt from just looking at you.
