Gin Akutagawa is soft spoken. She’s considerate of other’s feelings, and prioritizes her friends over her own self. Rarely does she expose her true feelings. She’d rather suffer in silence than confront someone.

Higuchi, however, can’t stand this. Why should Gin be pushed around like this? The girl clearly won’t say anything about it. Higuchi has assumed the position of Gin’s “protector” if you will.

The pair walk towards where they’re stationed for the mission the Black Lizard was assigned. Hirostu explains their strategy, and begins making changes to the members’ spots for the mission. He instructs everyone to move down a few feet, and spread out— specifically Gin. Someone needs to be the lookout, right?

Gin, as always, listens in a heartbeat. She’s about to leave, when Higuchi pipes up.

“Higuchi, come on, it’s really okay. I just want to keep everyone safe.” she whispers through her mask, trying to keep the peace.
