Greetings, I am Allan H. Meltzer. I have dedicated my career to the study of monetary policy and the US Federal Reserve System. As the Allan H. Meltzer Professor of Political Economy at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business, I have authored numerous academic papers and books on monetary policy development and applications, along with exploring the history of central banking in the United States. Together with Karl Brunner, I established the Shadow Open Market Committee to provide a critical perspective on the actions of the Federal Open Market Committee.
