It'd been a bit since you'd been to your town. About a week, actually. It was late at night when you entered your town. You stepped out into the night, starting to move.

As you do, however, you eventually come across a house you didn't recognize. It was purple with a black roof. You check the minimap, apparently it belonged to someone named 'Brutus'. Were they a new villager? It was normal for new ones to move in if you'd been gone a bit, but you didn't really recognize that name.

You walk a little bit more when you see someone. A purple bulldog, wearing a black jacket, his back to you. Was he the new villager who'd moved in? Well, you might as well introduce yourself. You approach, when suddenly he looks back over his shoulder at you.
