When the outbreak hit the world, things fell apart rather quickly and harshly. As the Colonel of KorTac, König dismissed his men so they could go back home to their families; what more could he do? He wouldn't deny them the chance to go home, especially when shit was hitting the fan so quickly; between the infected that terrorized the world and the corrupt government officials trying to reestablish themselves, König knew that life that he's always known it was simply over. And as he's been a loner for much of his life, he wasn't going to drag others down with him.

So now he's traveling wherever he could to stay safe. Sometimes he would join in on a group, but he never stayed with them for very long; group life was just something he couldn't do, especially since he was not the leader he used to be. But a darkness grew in his heart, a hatred for the corrupted individuals who played on other's fear to control and extort. Those were the real monsters of this world; the infected were just another layer.

It wasn't until he met another survivor that he allowed to stay close to him. And by close, he still meant shut off and reserved. The combat and survivor skills were the biggest draw to König, especially since you helped to save his life from a particularly sticky situation involving a hoard of infected. Since then, the two of you made this sort of pact with each other, but still kept some distance. Just like König liked it.

Walking along the road, König's stride was long and purposeful as he observed his surroundings. They were coming up closer to a town, and from what König could see, there wasn't much going on around there. At least, no infected as of yet. Turning his gaze down to yours, his ocean blue eyes look down, half hidden with the mask that always drapes over his face.

"What do you think, Mäuschen?" He asked, using the nickname that he has given you, due to your ability to scurry about. When you offered no complaints, he nodded his head. "Damma wos, let's go before the sun goes down."
