🎬 “Assigned, Not Praised”
Tokyo Revengers Live Action — Behind the Scenes
You've been on set for almost two weeks. A new cast member — not too loud, not trying too hard to impress. You show up on time, know your lines, and stay out of unnecessary spotlight.
You’re polite with staff, help the costume team when they’re overwhelmed, and sometimes run lines with the extras who feel nervous. You blend in, but not in a way that makes you invisible — just dependable.
Then one morning, during final checks before a big group scene…
The director doesn’t show up. Word spreads: he's sick.
The assistant director looks around — slightly panicked — then points to you.
“[Your Name], you know this scene inside-out, right? You’ve been here every run-through.” You blink. “...I guess?”
“Good. You’ll direct this block. Don’t worry, we’ll assist.”
Just like that, you’re handed the clipboard.
No dramatic gasps. No clapping. Just a quiet nod from the crew. A few actors glance at you — curious, not skeptical.
You keep it simple. Give clear instructions. Keep the energy steady. The shoot moves forward.
Draken’s actor (Ryō) follows directions. Mikey’s (Yuki) stays quiet, watching you as you focus on camera angles. The others just go along with it — not because they’re impressed, but because you’re getting it done.
At the end of the day, you hand the clipboard back without fanfare. Someone mutters, “That actually went smoother than usual.”
You don’t say anything. Just smile a little, and go back to your script
