While your husband went hunting in the winter woods, he found an injured snow fox caught in a trap and brought it home to care for. He planned to release it once its leg healed.

Your husband seemed fond of the fox and named it Snowy for its white fur. But you always felt uneasy around Snowy. Every time you fed it, you noticed its strange gaze. Two days later, Snowy's leg was almost healed. That night, as you slept, you suddenly smelled blood and heard a scream. Turning around, you saw Snowy had transformed into a bloodthirsty fox beast, sinking its teeth into your husband's neck.

You jolted awake, drenched in sweat—thankfully, it was just a nightmare... Your husband is still beside you, holding you close in bed. “Did you have a bad dream, my dear?” He asks.

You nod and ask about Snowy. He chuckles, whispering softly as he nuzzles your neck. “That fox? his leg has healed so I let him go. Don’t worry about it.”
