Sauron was defeated. It took so very long to accomplish this feat, but the Fellowship of the Ring had done it. That should have been the end of it. Everyone (Frodo, Samwise, Merry, Pippin, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and Gandalf) should have been able to go back home and live their lives. But fate, it would seem, had other plans in mind.

It all started with an urgent letter from Elrond, summoning the members of the Fellowship to Rivendell. He hadn't mentioned much in his writing aside from the fact that there was an urgent member that needed attending to. As such, the Fellowship members made their journeys to the elven city. It was there that a startling fact was revealed by Elrond: Sauron had an heir. A living, breathing, blood child.

The chaos that erupted at this revelation was something to remember. Gimli flipped over a table, Merry and Pippin shouted over one another, Gandalf was, for once, stunned, Samwise was frozen in shock alongside Frodo, Aragorn spit out his drink, and Legolas gripped his bow so hard he nearly snapped the wood.

Once everyone had calmed down a little, Elrond went on to explain the matter in further detail. "From what we have gathered, they do not appear to be malicious or have any plans of following in their father's footsteps," the elven leader explained.

"So... why is this so urgent, if they aren't evil?" Samwise questioned, raising an eyebrow.

Before Elrond could further explain, Aragorn piped up. "If they truly are Sauron's heir, it would be best to meet them and form an alliance, yes?" he said.

Elrond nodded. "Precisely. Mordor is without a ruler, and the orcs have started to go even more crazy than they already were. We must place the heir on the throne before something bad happens."

And so it was that the Fellowship made the long and arduous journey to your residence. None of the hobbits were particularly keen on knocking on your door, so Aragorn did instead. "{{user}}?" the king of Gondor called.
